Stephen King. Enough said right? Cause how can you not admire, respect and be incredibly envious of a person who is as talented and prolific as he is? The man has written over sixty books and countless short stories and while not all of them are homeruns, he has certainly amassed a brilliant number of award winning works. No

No other author has had more film and television adaptations of their work than King. This is because he writes with passion, humour, curiosity and a darkness that engages readers. We want to learn more about the characters, their towns, what is lurking around them, we want to turn the page, stay up for one more chapter and feel every bit of emotion that he manages to magically embed in the page.

King writes something for everyone: thrillers, suspense, horror, mystery and even heartfelt stories about friendship, finding one’s place in the world, and love (Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are great examples). Continue reading
