Thank you for having me on the blog today! I’m excited to share my new release, A Taylor-Made Love, Book Two in the Taylor-Made Series with readers.
Seven years ago while I was pregnant with my youngest child, my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma cancer. He went through surgery, chemo and was pronounced cancer-free two weeks before my son was born. During the time of chaos and turmoil I never dealt with those emotions I experienced while he was sick. There wasn’t time. But three years ago when a friend’s daughter was diagnosed with cancer, all of them came flooding back. As a result, I wrote A Taylor-Made Life, Book One.
At the time, it was my desire to pen a story showing how cancer takes not only life but time—time with family, friends, time having fun or even working. From the moment cancer comes into your life, all you do, all you focus on, is fighting it—scheduling doctor appointments and treatments, worrying about living through it, paying for it, wondering how it’s taking a toll on those you love. Cancer takes something from everyone in the family, not just the one diagnosed. And I wanted the reader to relate to the person in the hospital bed and the one sitting at the side of it.
But more than the suffering, I also want the reader to experience the heightened joy and the bittersweet taste of love when we acknowledge how fragile life truly is—for everyone not just those with terminal illness. No one is promised tomorrow, and that is the God’s honest truth. I want the reader of A Taylor-Made Life to close the book and contemplate his or her own life. I want every reader to ask, what would I do if this was my last moment? How would I live?
It is in these questions and their answers where true revelation happens. That’s what I want.
A Taylor-Made Life is a special story that has already touched many. I hope you give the characters an opportunity to touch you.
A Taylor-Made Life, Book One by Kary Rader
They lived the life they were given; they loved the life they made.
Cheerleader Taylor Smith doesn’t want to die a virgin. Unfortunately, if the terminally-ill leukemia patient doesn’t find a lover or a stem-cell match within months, her fear will become reality. When her cancer mentor is revealed to be a hottie entrepreneur from California, it seems fate might finally be on her side.
Tech-geek Gavin Taylor has everything he ever wanted, except someone to grieve for him when he’s gone. With his melanoma cancer beyond the help of his riches, he agrees to participate in a cancer patient mentoring program where he’s matched with a dying teen from Texas. Despite his immediate attraction, the Silicon Valley whiz intends only to provide friendship and happy memories to the beautiful, young woman who is determined to win his love.
When it’s discovered that his frozen sperm and her harvested eggs could lead to a cure, Taylor’s mother offers to be a surrogate. And Gavin must decide if he can risk the heart he has never given and a child he’ll never know to a girl he just met.

A Taylor-Made Love, Book Two
When fate spares your life, your destiny is always love
Twenty-year-old widow and cancer survivor Taylor Smith-Taylor is running her late husband’s billion-dollar gaming business because she’s made a vow to keep TME—and Gavin’s memory—alive. But she’s falling hard for her sexy attorney Brad Richards, and it’s not just their professional connection that has her tied in knots.
When Taylor’s new idea takes off, she relies on Brad to help. Using company funds to back the innovative project, they begin a tumultuous affair and a multi-million dollar negotiation that could dominate the market or put the company in jeopardy.
As the corporate dealings escalate, their volatile relationship leaves their priorities more tangled than their bed sheets, and a fatal accounting error divides them, putting the company on the brink of bankruptcy. Brad pushes Taylor to embrace her idea, and him, by selling TME—a decision that, for her, goes deeper than money. When she refuses, it seems easier for both to walk away, and only a perspective from the grave can help her realize her future comes down to one choice: the love she’ll lose or the love she’ll make.
